“My friends still seem adamant on the dates and– during planning sessions– new information keeps coming up that pushes the goalposts further and further,” the man recalled.
“For example, the wedding will now span across multiple days, and the cheaper flights I once found will no longer allow me to be there in time for the wedding.”
At a crossroads, this man had to come clean about his feelings.
“I straight up told them today that all the flights were terrible and that I was not likely to attend. I feel sh*tty since, at the end of the day, it’s just money,” the man said, “But, the entire trip feels unplanned. I feel both unheard and shoved out of the wedding by my friends.”
