Anyway, her husband has a female employee that she is not a fan of at all. As soon as she was aware of this woman she considered her to be threatening.
This woman is gorgeous, she’s young, and she also is in a relationship with someone who most definitely cheated on her.
The only reason she had for feeling threatened by this woman has nothing to do with her husband’s behavior or this woman’s behavior; it was all in her own head.
For some reason, her husband told this woman about how insecure she was during a day at work.
She knows her husband wasn’t thinking about how humiliating it would be for her to have this other woman be aware of her feelings, and she doesn’t think he did it to be mean.
Although her husband’s employee now knows about her feelings, she chose to have a company gift exchange and intentionally bought her husband a gift knowing it would upset her directly.
“SHE created a gift exchange and chose him as her recipient, and bought him underwear,” she said.
“The joke was “your wife is going to be mad about this.” There is an innocent back story about how a child suggested the gift and that was amusing, but actually buying it with the joke being “let’s mess with your wife’s insecurity and anxiety” is incredibly mean spirited.”
She did talk to her husband about the gift, and he did get where she was coming from. Her husband also turned around and told his employee she could not do something like that again, though she thinks he could have done more.
She suspects her husband and his employee don’t really have any boundaries considering this occurred in the first place.
