Fred then said that he was sorry for how Steve and Jim behaved. “I know they are remorseful and I believe they, too, will continue to learn from their mistakes,” Fred continued.
In light of the radio station’s apology, many people commented on the post insisting that more had to be done than simply firing Steve and Jim.
One of the girls who currently plays on the Easton basketball team also took to the comments section of the post.
“As a girl who is on the Easton girls team, I hope the video goes viral,” she said. “Our whole teams’ feelings are hurt.”
“Steve Shaw begged me to play basketball for Easton to keep the girl’s sport alive. This video needs to be seen! Our team deserves more than just an apology from you!”
“Our team is devastated and I don’t think any of us can go back on that court feeling confident after hearing “find jerseys that fit your girls” you should be embarrassed.”
