The Net Worth Of Ellen Pompeo Will Have You Wondering Why She Wants Grey’s Anatomy To End

Mainly before news broke about season 18’s fate, she said she would stay with the flagship series as long as it ran but that it might be nearing its natural end soon.

Less than a month before the 2022 announcement of season 19, however, Pompeo unequivocally stated her opinion on the show’s potential continuation in an interview with Insider; “I’ve been trying to focus on convincing everybody that it should end…I feel like I’m the super naive one who keeps saying, ‘But what’s the story going to be, what story are we going to tell?”

Despite her reservations, Pompeo’s podcast, “Tell Me With Ellen Pompeo,” is a platform for promoting voices that go ignored in mainstream media.

She also runs a company called Betr Remedies, which seeks to reduce medical waste, sell over-the-counter meds, and collaborate with other non-profits to donate unused medications to communities in need.

Pompeo also champions a diverse range of stories on Grey’s and is a proponent of facing down the American healthcare system concerning systemic racism, insurance inequity, and poor working conditions for medical staff during a global pandemic.

For now, Pompeo is staying put at the helm of the colossal earner turned activist platform. And, of course, it’s excellent news for the fans!
