These Two Abandoned Chihuahuas Were Saved From The Cold By A Couple Out Walking Their Own Dog And Now They’re Looking For A Loving Home

“Our post was shared over 140 times across multiple local Facebook groups and the Lost & Found Cats & Dogs of Your County, SC Facebook page, but no owner came forward. The stray hold expired on Wednesday, January 19.”

The day after the stray hold was up, Amanda and Chris took the dogs to get their shots, and they were excited to find out at that appointment that both dogs were putting on weight and doing well health-wise.

Amanda and Chris then took care of getting the dogs groomed, spayed, and neutered. Now that all of that has been completed, the couple is hoping to find a loving home that will adopt both of the Chihuahuas together.

“They are sweethearts who love snuggles, going for walks, watching the birds, and playing with their foster siblings (an almost 14-year-old mini poodle and two 2-year-old cats),” Amanda explained.

“They are great with children and have been great little guard dogs. They’ve even learned to recognize the sound of our daughter’s school bus and alert us when it arrives each afternoon.”

“These two enjoy LOTS of attention and are always found in someone’s lap or very closeby. They are very sweet and loving companions, and would do well in a home with children and other dog-friendly pets.”

Amanda and Chris are currently reviewing adoption applications for the dogs, and if you are interested in giving them both a forever home, you can apply here.

Adoption applications will close on February 13th.
