“I tell him nothing happened between us and he had nothing to worry about. I felt kind of bad afterward because the guy was hurt and really wanted to know before he made that big step in his life/relationship.”
Yeah, he straight-up lied to this poor guy just a day before the wedding. Although it crossed his mind to turn around and tell him the truth, he also thought that he didn’t want it to be on him for their engagement (and now marriage) to end.
If he had known that this woman was engaged all along, he never would have pursued her at all.
He’s wondering if he’s a jerk for lying to this guy just one day before the wedding, and clearly, the wedding did happen.
Do you think he was awful to lie, and do you think this poor guy deserves the truth, even if he’s already married?
