It makes her sad that she can’t spend a dime on herself, since there’s no money left over for her to even have her nails done.
What she’s struggling with the most though is that her husband frequently stops going to work, citing that he’s depressed.
He has no more sick leave, so he’s not getting paid anymore, and lately, he sits around the house and watches TV every day, and it’s infuriating to her that he’s not motivated at all.
“I make good money, but our fancy car, house, and lifestyle mean it’s gone quickly,” she said.
“I work incredibly hard to give this life to us, and he just doesn’t. He’s not driven like I am, in fact, he’s kind of lazy and I’m the opposite. I don’t know if I can be with a man like that.”
“That’s why I think I made a mistake. This is for life? He’s never going to work hard like me and he’s talking about kids.”
“I feel trapped in this mistake. I’m afraid of how miserable my life will be. I’m 30 and starting over would be so hard. I’m trying to communicate with him but he just gets angry and defensive.”
She still is in love with her husband, so it makes it that much harder to actually leave him.
