She Went On A Date With A Guy Who Didn’t Even Look Like His Photos, But It Gets Worse

When you meet someone online, there’s always the risk of them not looking like their pictures. Sometimes, we can look past that if we feel we’re safe and if the person makes up for it with a great personality. Other times, it’s just the first in a series of red flags.
A young woman named Kristen (kristenbeatty24) made a TikTok video describing one of the worst dates she has ever been on.
“Here’s the story of a time I went on a first date with a guy who didn’t look like his pictures,” says Kristen. “But that’s not even the worst part of it.”
She explains how they made plans for a dinner date where they would meet each other at the restaurant. It would be her first time seeing him in person.
Kristen was driving through rush hour traffic and had to show up to the restaurant a couple of minutes late.
On her way there, the guy, who had been at the restaurant called her to tell her that there would be a 35-minute wait.
Although he sounded a little annoyed, Kristen told him to put their names on the list and that they could spend the waiting time getting to know each other in the parking lot.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t sit at the bar inside the restaurant because of restrictions, so Kristen decided that the two of them could chat in her car.

As she pulled up to the restaurant and her date approached the car, she immediately noticed that something was off.
Kristen explains how she was mentally thinking, “This is not the guy I signed up to hang out with tonight, but sure. Let’s do this.”
Although he didn’t look at all like how she expected, Kristen wanted to give him a chance and be friendly.
He sits in the car with her and pulls out a bottle of Jameson.
Kristen thought that perhaps he was nervous or had intentions of the two of them sharing a drink during their wait in the car.
“Nope,” says Kristen. “[He] didn’t offer me any. He just continues to take swigs of Jameson in my car while we are talking.”
Their conversation wasn’t particularly great, as Kristen says he would not stop complaining about how long they had to wait.
Kristen started preparing herself for what she describes as a “doozy of a night” before the two head into the restaurant.
“We get inside, and the entire dinner felt like an interview,” Kristen mentioned.
Kristen was the only person prompting any conversation at the dinner table. She asked him tons of questions about himself, and she tried to tell him a little about herself. He would not ask her anything in return.
Throughout the entire dinner, her date ended up ordering six more drinks.
“At one point I got so frustrated,” Kristen said.
She eventually asked him, “So, is there anything you want to know about me?”
To which he replied, “No.”
Once the painful dinner was finally over, he began to walk Kristen to her car.
Kristen became nervous, thinking that he was expecting a goodbye kiss from her after that catastrophe of a dinner.
When they get to her car, they exchange a brief hug, which Kristen thought was acceptable. But after the hug, he continued to stand by her car.
Kristen asked what he was doing, to which he responded, “I left my bottle of Jameson in your car. I gotta get it out.”
Kristen ends her TikTok story with a chuckle and signs off with, “And that’s how that went!”
Although many of Kristen’s TikTok viewers admire her for her kindness and how she gave the guy a chance, many say she should have been more careful.
“I was afraid for your safety through that whole video,” commented one user.
“If anything like that happens again, excuse yourself to go to the ladies’ room and leave,” commented another. “That could have gone differently!”
