Ozzie is currently at a local animal shelter, and according to the shelter, he is neutered, up to date on all of his shots, and heartworm negative.
The downside is that Ozzie is very overweight for his breed, coming in at 57 pounds. He also has very heavily matted fur.
He’s completely kind and loving towards people, but he’s really not the best with other dogs even though he lived with another dog in his previous home.
“And while Ozzie peacefully cohabitated with his brother dog, the shelter found him to be moderately dog reactive and poorly socialized,” Alexia said.

“As such, they don’t have a nearby rescue willing to pull him and will not rule out the possibility of euthanasia.”
“In the depths of mourning and unable to adopt themselves, Ozzie’s extended human family reached out for help. They care deeply about his future and have pledged support to any reputable, integrious rescue willing to save him.”
If you can step up to give Ozzie a loving home, Alexia can help arrange him a ride out of the state of North Carolina.
