She told her mom there was no way she would be going to prom with her little brother, and her mom did actually understand where she was coming from.
She was honest with her mom about her feelings, and she’s pretty sure her mom only asked her to go to prom with her brother in the first place because her mom just wants to always do what she thinks is best for them.
Her mom also enjoys seeing her hang out with her brother and do social things with him, so it’s easy to see why her mom did think prom could be great for them to go to together.
Regardless of the fact that her mom gets where she is coming from, she’s still wondering if it’s ok for her to have said no to going to prom with her brother.
