The surgery took both a financial and emotional toll on the family, with a bill of over $2,800.
Thankfully, the wound has begun scabbing over, and Garmr has already recovered full digit mobility. Though her vet is still concerned that the injury might have caused early-onset arthritis, they will monitor the situation and ensure that the sweet pit receives the best possible care.
Still, the family needs help to supplement the costs of the surgery.
They shared, “Paying off over $3,000 for a single freak accident within 6 months on top of our regular vet bills and everything else we have going on right now would be impossible without the help we received.”
