This French Bulldog Needed Surgery To Help Correct The Damage Done By A Spinal Cord Disease

He needs to receive an MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging) and surgery to cure Bear fully. The hospital had given Jessica a rough quote, which included $4,000 to $5,000 for MRI and $10,000 for the surgery.

This number was not guaranteed, as the surgery cost would depend on how many discs ended up being affected.

This medical expense daunted Jessica but did not stop her from wanting to save Bear and give the best life to him. For this reason, Jessica created a GoFundMe post hopefully to seek some help.

“Bear is my best friend and is such a snuggler,” Jessica wrote. “I have exhausted all of my funds, and I am okay with that. My purpose is to help Bear save him as he saved me. I will not stop.”

As of April 23, Jessica had posted an update about Bear’s wellbeing after his surgery.

The surgery was a success, and it was not even 24 hours that Bear was already trying to play while a surgeon overlooked him.

Bear’s surgeon also told Jessica that he was highly pleased with the outcome, as the surgery was one of the hardest he had to do.

Bear went home with Jessica on April 24 and began his healing journey. “He is to be on extremely strict crate rest for six weeks and a six-month post-op of care,” Jessica wrote.
