She laughed a bit, and said that she waited 7 long years “for this moment.” He was so surprised he couldn’t think of what to say back to her.
He and Ana did go to high school together, and although there were aware of one another back then, they weren’t friends, and it seemed that Ana may have had a crush on him back then due to her comment about waiting 7 years.
After taking a moment or two of silence, he did say to Ana that it’s very important to be upfront and honest about what they are both interested in, and as she began agreeing, the rain started pouring.
They were still standing there outside, and he took that opportunity to wrap up their date. He dropped Ana off at her place and made his way back home.
“She keeps sending messages, I respond,” he continued. “How can I tell her I don’t want anything with her? I don’t want to be rude.”
“She just detected that my conversation started to decrease.” Ana has been asking him if everything is alright, but he wants to really put some distance between them.
He’s curious if it’s alright to ghost her, or if there’s a better way to tell her that he’s not interested in her at all.
Do you think ghosting is ok in this situation, or should he let Ana down gently?
