Her 91-Year-Old Grandma Kept Her Honeymoon Clothes Stored Away, And She Went Viral On TikTok For Trying Them All On
A young woman on TikTok is sharing with her followers a beautiful experience that she gets to share with her grandmother.
Maddy Bill (@maddy_bill) has created a special series on her TikTok account that is almost too sweet to describe.
Maddy’s grandmother is 91-years-old, and Maddy just discovered that her grandmother had kept all of her honeymoon clothes in an old suitcase.
The honeymoon was 70 years ago, and Maddy decided to open that suitcase up for the very first time.
In her first video, Maddy simply opens up the suitcase to just barely reveal what’s inside, then shows some beautiful photos of her grandmother around the time she got married.
The video generated over 1 million likes and 900 comments. The majority of the comments were people asking Maddy to try on some of those lovely vintage clothes, and so she did!
Maddy titled her series, “Grandmother’s Honeymoon Wardrobe Try On.” She’s made 13 videos of herself finding amazing clothes and accessories, which she incorporates into her own style.
The first video consisted of Maddy trying on a black dress that her grandmother wore on her honeymoon in 1952.

What’s more amazing is that there is a picture of her grandmother wearing it while sitting next to her husband at the New Yorker on their honeymoon.
Maddy looks amazing as she walks up to the mirror wearing her grandmother’s dress. After that video went viral, people started wanting to know more about who her grandmother is.
In the comments, someone asked Maddy, “Was she a very stylish woman?”
Maddy replied with a video consisting of different photos and video clips of her grandmother throughout the years. She describes her style as “forever timeless and classy.”
In part six of her series, Maddy reveals that her grandmother’s accessories are her favorite items to try on. Maddy wears things like her grandmother’s silky scarves and stunning jewelry pieces along with her own outfits.
There were other sacred items within her grandmother’s things, like a tie that her grandfather had worn during the honeymoon. How sweet is it that all of these things were kept together?
TikTok users cannot get enough of Maddy’s wardrobe try-on videos.
“It’s apparent that your grandma had so much style and class,” commented one user. “She was absolutely stunning, and so are you! Can’t wait to see more!”
To which Maddy replied, “This message really made me smile. When she was young, she took so much pride in the pieces she wore & it’s something I hope I can emulate.”
