Nonetheless, Dr. Otaiku still believes recognizing the correlation can be helpful.
“For those who have other known Parkinson’s risk factors, such as excessive daytime sleepiness or constipation, this finding could be important.
Being aware that frequent bad dreams and nightmares may be an early indicator could lead to earlier diagnoses and earlier treatment,” Dr. Otaiku said.
So, the next time you startle from a bad dream, you do not have to fret. But, if you recognize recurring nightmares alongside other symptoms, you may want to seek medical advice to ensure they are not early indicators.
