Meanwhile, her daughter went out partying and then slept at her boyfriend’s place instead of taking care of her dog.
The dog ended up being such a problem for this mom, and it caused so much damage that when her house finally did sell, it sold for $10,000 to $20,000 under what they could have gotten for it.
Then, as she and her husband were getting ready to leave the state, she told her daughter that she could move back in with them down there, but only if she adhered to a couple of rules.
“When we sold the NY house and started planning our move to Florida, we stipulated that she could move with us, but had to go to college and find a home for the dog,” she said.
“She was furious and told everyone that we “abandoned” her. She rushed off and married this guy she didn’t love who had money so she’d have a place to stay, and now blames us for her crappy marriage.”
This mom is left wondering if it was mean of her to give her daughter 2 tasks to complete in order to be able to come to Florida too.
