This New Jersey Shelter Is Overflowing With Large Dogs Just Waiting To Be Adopted, And Here Are A Few That Are Available

AHS Newark; pictured above is Clifford

Clifford is a 5-year-old Pit Bull mix, and he would excel in a home that only has adults present. AHS Newark has not yet discovered if Clifford does well with other dogs.

Although Clifford is 5, he acts much younger, and he’s quite a sweetheart. He is intelligent and enjoys getting treats.

“Clifford’s got a big heart, the better to love you with,” AHS Newark says about Clifford. “He’s definitely a little aloof at first before he gets comfortable with new faces.”

Clifford doesn’t enjoy sharing his food or bones, so he needs to be part of a family that understands that.

You can check out Clifford’s profile here.

AHS Newark is open every single day of the week from 12 in the afternoon to 5 in the evening and they encourage you to come down to meet the animals that they have for adoption.

You can also take a look at all of their adoptable animals on their website.

If you are interested in adopting an animal from AHS Newark, they do require that you have completed their adoption application, which you can find here.

AHS Newark also requests a valid copy of your driver’s license and proof of owning your own home. If you rent, AHS Newark needs to see a copy of your lease or a notarized letter from your landlord specifying that you can have animals at your place.
