And perhaps shockingly, the teen still aspires to be a pilot one day and plans to attend flight school in the fall.
Following the rescue, Orondo firefighters also arrived on the scene to help extinguish the massive blaze.
“Firefighters’ initial efforts were hindered by difficult access and high-voltage power lines,” the Orondo Firefighters Association shared on Facebook.
“Once the power lines were de-energized, firefighters extinguished the fire on both the tractor and helicopter.”
Both Logan and the helicopter’s pilot were transported to Central Washington Hospital for treatment and are thankfully recovering smoothly.
Still, this freak accident sent shockwaves throughout the Washington community, leaving people utterly grateful for the miraculous outcome and rescue efforts.
“Thank God for saving our cousin and the pilot. Also, to the firefighters for saving their orchard!” Heather Heideman-Thompson, a relative of Logan’s, commented on the Facebook post.
“Just glad everyone is okay. Helicopters and tractors are replaceable; peoples’ lives are not,” wrote another user.
