The iconic dress, worn forty-one years ago this month, was designed by the young couple David and Elizabeth Emanuel.
It was a fairytale gown made of silk taffeta and featured puffy sleeves and a twenty-five-foot train– the longest in the entire history of royal wedding gowns. The dress was also embellished with over ten thousand pearls.
Following Princess Diana in fourth place is Princess Beatrice’s gown with a little over eight thousand Google searches per month, and in fifth place is Queen Elizabeth II with seven thousand and seven hundred monthly searches.
