“You’re telling me that my facial wash I have been using for years is probably why my acne never fully goes away?” wrote one upset commenter.
“This happened to one of my old clients! They [beads] got stuck in the skin and began to mold…” commented another user.
“Welp, I probably still have tiny beads in my pores since the early 2000s when I used that stuff,” added a third.
Since Emma’s video blew up, many viewers also had loads of questions– the most frequent one being “how do the beads get stuck?” She created a follow-up TikTok to explain this after talking with her aesthetician.
“I went back to my aesthetician for my wax, and she was explaining to me how each time I washed my face, I was opening my pores and scrubbing,” Emma said.
But, at the end of washing her face, Emma would use cold water since it is good for limiting inflammation. The cold shock made her pores close, trapping the beads inside.
