“Mr. Bett has hundreds of acres of farmland, and he could have put them anywhere. But, he chose to put them here,” he continued.
In fact, John was so enraged after learning of the bales that he actually fought back. He pushed over the hay pile in hopes of ensuring his mother could enjoy the scenic views.
The result was short-lived, though, since Bett simply rebuilt the barricade.
The millionaire has also since revealed his hatred of his neighbor’s “barbecuing and putting their washing out.”
“He thinks he [John] is entitled to a view, but he is not,” Bett added.
The Norfolk Police have not been able to confirm nor deny who exactly tore down the original leylandii trees. But, they claim that every line of inquiry has been “exhausted.”
