Georgia Highschool Football Teammates Rescue A Trapped 50-Year-Old Woman Following A Car Crash In Front Of Their School

The group then raced through the intersection on foot and began trying to pry the woman’s door open.

“The vehicle was smoking, the fluids were leaking, and I could tell it was about to catch fire had the police not got there quickly,” Treyvon explained.

So, the boys raced against the clock to free the crash victim. And according to math teacher Goya, the rescue effort was a sight to see.

“They literally started using their strength to pry the door open so the lady could be released,” Goya later said in a Facebook post following the incident.

“And after a few seconds of pulling and pushing the door, the boys ended up opening it and helping her get out.”

“She was shaking and still in a panic but our RHS boys gave her comfort,”

The woman was then transported to the hospital to be treated for bruises and cuts. Thankfully, though, no severe injuries were caused by the crash.

Now, the Rome High School group of teens is being praised for their heroic and selfless efforts.

“Thank you, young men, for being examples our community can be proud of!” wrote the Rome Police Department in a Facebook post.

“Those football players are heroes for sure. Mom and dad can certainly be proud of them. Prayers for the people involved in the accident,” commented one user.

“Great job, guys. This could have been much worse if you had not intervened,” wrote another commenter.
