“So, I asked where I was supposed to put her, and he suggested my room. I asked if he meant only for a few hours, and he said no. He meant the whole night,” she explained.
She was taken aback by this and wondered where they would be sleeping. But apparently, her boyfriend said they could just sleep on the pull-out couch, and this really pissed her off.
In fact, she refused to give up her own bedroom for a twelve-year-old– so her boyfriend actually took his three children and the nanny and left.
Then, following the incident, her boyfriend claimed he needed to rethink their relationship because he could not understand why she would not give up her bedroom for his daughter.
And while she does not think her response to the suggestion was unreasonable, she has still been left wondering if refusing to give her boyfriend’s twelve-year-old daughter her bedroom was a jerky thing to do.
What would you have done in her shoes? Do you think her boyfriend overreacted or was his response justified?
