But, out of nowhere, her friend recently reached out and said her family could no longer house herself and the other girl.
So, the friend asked if they could all share a hotel room in one of the cities– and the woman graciously agreed.
However, she also had a condition– the girls had to pay a third of the room cost.
And even though it might sound fair to split the price, the girls were offended and accused the woman of trying to get revenge.
“She said I am just doing this out of spite because the intern group kicked me out last weekend. And while I am furious about that still, I would still be making them pay either way. I am not going to get ripped off and pay for everyone,” she continued.
Plus, the room she had already booked is at the Waldorf Astoria– an extremely expensive and upscale hotel.
The woman does not want to cover everyone’s stay there– especially people who have been downright rude to her. Still, though, she is wondering if asking for the money makes her a jerk.
Would you have done the same if you were in the woman’s shoes? Should the friends have ever expected to stay for free anyway?
