But, while the girls were getting brunch before shopping, the woman would not stop calling and texting the man’s mother– asking to be invited to the dress shopping.
This time, the man’s mother finally stood up to the woman and told her to ask the bride. But, even though the man’s fiancée only wanted their mothers there, the woman would not take no for an answer.
So, after she kept persisting, the man ended up telling his brother to stop his fiancée– and she did, but not without a breakdown.
“Apparently, my future sister-in-law threw a giant tantrum afterward. My mom also tried to call my brother, and my sister-in-law picked up his phone to tell my mom she was not speaking to her,” the man recalled.
Now, he feels like the woman utterly disrespected his own fiancée and his mother during a sentimental wedding day experience.
The immature behavior has also pushed the man to rescind his offer to officiate the wedding. He will only agree to do it again if the woman sincerely apologizes to his fiancée and mom.
Still, though, he is unsure if refusing to officiate is the wrong response and makes him a jerk.
Do you think that man has a right to be angry with his future sister-in-law? At what point do broken boundaries need to be punished?
