Chad messaged her, asking how she was. After Georgia-May responded with “lol good,” things got uncomfortable.
Chad then asked Georgia-May where she would stay when she got off the flight and told her he was “tryna hit.” Creepy much?
Georgia-May responded with, “What!” Chad then told her that she should see him later. Thankfully, Seat Chat has a ‘block’ feature, and Georgia-May was able to block further messages from Chad.
After the video went viral with over 440,000 likes, Air New Zealand wanted to reiterate the purpose of the Seat Chat feature.
“This feature has been onboard our aircraft for a number of years and automatically prevents offensive words such as swear words from being used. Customers can also block or ignore seat chats as they wish,” the representative told Newshub.
“If customers do have any concerns with messages they receive from other travelers, we encourage them to raise it with our crew immediately.”
The Chad-related chaos didn’t stop for Georgia-May, who even got a text from her ex-boyfriend named Chad after her video went viral. “You can take the Chad out of Chad, but you can’t take the Chad out of Chad,” commented one TikTok user.
