In the meantime, the department’s Facebook update detailing the incident has since gained two hundred and sixty likes and ninety-five shares.
Members of the Bentleyville community have applauded the efforts of first responders and the seventeen-year-old in making sure no lives were lost.
“Huge thank you to all involved in rescuing families and containing the fire. Prayers for the families,” commented one user.
“Thank you to everyone who worked heroically for a good outcome!” wrote a second user.
“Great work by all,” commented a third.
Tim Miller, the Bentleyville Fire Department’s second assistant fire chief, also commended teens Falon and Robert for their quick thinking.
“They prevented a lot of injuries,” Miller said.
