Then, when the passenger in front turned around to complain about Jane’s legs, she used the same “three years to live” excuse.
This time, though, the other passengers did not let Jane get away with it. Instead, they simply said they were sorry to hear that but still asked Jane to put her legs back in her own space.
So, Jane kicked her legs around a bit out of frustration before pressing her knees against the back of the seat in front of her. But, by this point, she had had enough of Jane’s rude behavior and decided to tell her off once and for all.
“I told her she was acting childish, but she said she deserved to be comfortable in her last years of her life. So, I told her that I and others around her don’t care about her living life to the fullest at the expense of others,” she recalled. Yikes.
After that comment, Jane was super quiet for the rest of the flight. And now, she feels really horrible. So even though she believes that Jane needs to stop being rude to random people because of her diagnosis, she is not sure if the way she phrased her comment was an utterly jerky thing to do.
