However, Laura and the rest of the Bromet family have remained skeptical of this timeline and do not even believe that Nancy made it to California.
According to Laura, Nancy did not bring a cell phone with her on the cross-country trip. So, when Laura did not hear from Nancy again, she kept calling both Julio’s phone and his trucking company in an effort to contact her sister.
And the day that she finally got through to Julio, he reported Nancy missing.
“It was not until I asked to speak with her that he said she was missing. He had not reported her missing until then,” Laura said.
Nonetheless, authorities have uncovered very few clues throughout their investigation. So, despite Nancy’s case remaining “open and active,” according to the El Centro Police Department, the Bromet family has still been left without answers for nearly seven years now.
“She has a pattern, and this is way off her pattern,” Laura said.
Nancy was five-foot-two and weighed about one hundred and sixty-five pounds. She also had hazel eyes and long black hair. If you have any information regarding Nancy’s disappearance or whereabouts, you are encouraged to contact the El Centro Police Department at (760) 352-2111.
