But, to him, this threat was apparently quite scary. He knew that, after the baby was born, there would be a ton of expenses. Plus, his wife would be taking a break from work for a while in order to be a stay-at-home mom.
In turn, he tried calling his mother-in-law to tell her what had happened. But she never picked up the phone.
“So, I just kept working and thought I could explain myself later,” he recalled.
Unfortunately, though, he never got the chance. Instead, after he got off of work and drove to the hospital, his mother-in-law and sisters-in-law actually refused to let him into the delivery room. Tragically, he had missed the birth.
Plus, they called him a bad father and lousy husband before taking his wife and newborn baby home with them. And sadly, it has now been days since his baby– who he found out was a girl– was born, and his wife and in-laws still will not speak to him.
So, he has been left wondering if missing the birth of his daughter to continue working at the restaurant was the totally wrong decision.
