He also underscored how Leah getting the necklace was his late wife’s last wish and said that Adam should not be so disrespectful– especially because he has a bunch of other stuff from her.
Still, Adam did not get the hint. Instead, he started claiming both he and his late wife were discriminating against him based on gender. Moreover, he called his dad an utter jerk for allowing such a tradition to continue.
At that point, he had enough, though, and went upstairs so his son would not berate him anymore. Then, after Adam finished screaming at Leah, they eventually went to their rooms, too.
And ever since the argument, Adam has been refusing to eat or speak to both him and Leah.
So, his wife ultimately told him that he should just give the necklace to Adam in order to keep the family peace.
Still, though, he really does not want to dishonor his late wife’s wishes. But, at the same time, he is not sure if refusing to hand over the necklace also makes him a jerk to his son.
If you were in this dad’s shoes, what would you do? Do you think his son has a point, or is he overreacting? Why do you think his wife even told his son in the first place?
