Still, her boyfriend did not seem to understand why his request came off really weird at all. Instead, he just got even more offended and then accused her of implying that he was an untrustworthy person and thief.
At that point, though, she was pretty over the ridiculous argument and tried to make her boyfriend cut it out. Well, low and behold, he kept going on and on about how much she had hurt his feelings and showed “an incredible amount of distrust toward him.”
Then, even after her boyfriend eventually went home, he just continued berating her reaction to his request for a key.
And shockingly, he has now given her an ultimatum. In fact, he said that if she truly trusted him, she would get him a copy of the apartment key.
So, she has been left feeling pretty uneasy about the entire situation. She is not sure if refusing to give her boyfriend a key was the wrong thing to do or if her boyfriend asking for one in the first place was reason enough to be paranoid.
Why do you think her boyfriend would want a key to Aaron’s apartment if he barely knew him? How would you have reacted to the request if you had been in her shoes? What would you do in this situation?
