He’s really concerned that his daughter’s boyfriend is simply taking advantage of her and the fact that she is quiet and sweet.
He also believes that his daughter’s boyfriend entirely manipulated her into dating him by being some kind of an authority figure.
“My wife seemingly has little issue with any of this,” he said. “My daughter has opened up much more to her.”
“She said they plan on waiting until marriage which in one way is good, but it also worries me that he’s planning to rush her into a wedding. My first instinct was to track him down and confront him man to man, but my wife talked me down.”
“I really don’t want to be known as the dad who let his daughter marry a middle-aged man, let alone one who’s a single year older than myself. Without coming off overly aggressive or overprotective, how do I take care of this?”
