So, he was understandably furious, but she did not want to be screamed at. In turn, she asked him to calm down and not raise his voice– especially while he was staying in her home.
That request did not go over well, though. He berated her for going into his room, rifling through his things, and handing over an extremely expensive item without even consulting him first. And unfortunately, her husband agreed with her brother-in-law. In fact, her husband said she messed up by even just entering her brother-in-law’s room in the first place.
“But, I reminded him that this is my home, and I do not need permission from anyone to enter any room in the house,” she said
Regardless, both her husband and brother-in-law have been giving her the cold shoulder ever since.
On top of that, her brother-in-law has begun complaining about “going through hell” just to get the ship model back from his ex. Plus, he has even mentioned going to the police, reporting his ex for theft, and how she is kind of complicit since she “technically” helped his ex steal the heirloom.
So now, she is pretty pissed off at both of them. She believes they are being totally harsh and unreasonable about the situation. But, a part of her is also wondering if she was in the wrong for basically helping his ex steal the model ship.
