“Burns were much more extensive than anticipated,” writes Brooklyn.
Thankfully a family member, the children’s aunt, was able to stay by Tami’s side in the hospital while the kids were separated from her.
“She has not left mom’s side since she received the call the moment my mom left in the ambulance,” writes Brooklyn. “She has provided us so much peace of mind while we have all been miles away.”
In the latest GoFundMe update, Brooklyn writes that she and her siblings were finally able to reunite after the terrifying accident.
“We soaked up every second next to her bedside,” writes Brooklyn. “Assisting with repositioning, drinks of water, and constantly providing her words of encouragement. The next couple of days will consist of more rest and figuring out how to best keep her comfortable.”
Although the siblings had to go back to Arizona, Tami continues to recover from her graft surgeries and receives excellent care from the medical center staff. Brooklyn describes that the family still has many challenging days ahead but that they are “one step closer to healing.”
