In fact, one person even commented on her Reddit post and asked, “Does he know you’re putting him on blast on Reddit?”
She responded, “Maybe. Maybe it would make him angry; maybe it would turn him on. Don’t know, don’t care.”
Well, unfortunately, it appears that her stalker did see the Reddit post– and he was not going to let her forget it.
One week after she published the post, her stalker was quiet. She received no letters and did not see him anywhere.
But then, out of nowhere, she started receiving printouts of Reddit users’ questions about her story and her responses. She also received a long hateful letter directed at her boyfriend– which was very uncharacteristic.
“His letters were never hateful like that before, though he never seemed happy with my boyfriend. He wrote about how I should ‘share the spotlight with him since I got so much attention thanks to him,'” she recalled.
Anyway, the uptick in stalking behavior did not stop there– because just a few days later, she received another gift. And this time, the gift was not left in her mailbox or on top of her car like in the past.
Instead, the gift– which was in a large taped-shut box– was left inside of her apartment building and right in front of her door.
Out of precaution, she did not take the box inside and instead opened it in the hallway outside of her apartment. And was she found inside was horrifying.
The “gift” contained multiple zip ties, a roll of tape, a TV remote with almost all of the buttons picked off, a pack of bandaids with a few “used” ones, and a framed photo of herself.
“I could tell the picture was taken a few days ago, and my boyfriend was next to me but cut out of the photo,” she said. Yikes!
