Thankfully, there was no one sitting near them. So, according to her fiancé, no other theatergoers actually saw what happened.
But her fiancé and his friend still felt horrible for inadvertently deceiving her brother. And she was really annoyed with them.
Nonetheless, she had to focus on her brother first and sat him down to detail how what happened was never okay.
“I tactfully explained how that behavior is abhorrent and antisocial and should never feel repeated,” she recalled.
“And he felt insanely stupid and got so embarrassed that he started crying.”
Plus, ever since then, her brother has refused to talk to her fiancé and will not leave the house except for school.
So, she has been left feeling totally annoyed and upset at her fiancé. Her fiancé also feels absolutely terrible, and her brother still feels really humiliated and betrayed.
And now, she is just wondering what the heck can even be done to reconcile this situation and make her brother feel better.
How would you feel if your partner did that to your brother? Moving forward, do you think that education and open communication could help prevent these problems in the future? What else could help fix this situation?
