“But I didn’t want to listen to them because I knew they were just going to make excuses for why they did what they did,” she explained. “And it was not going to change the situation as there was no way my husband was going to be okay with them staying after what happened.”
Anyway, she ended up just calling her father, telling him what happened at the restaurant, and informing him that she would be sending her sisters home early.
Her stepmother was also on the phone and begged her to at least let her sisters stay until the morning so that way they could fly home safely during the daytime. However, she just told her father and stepmother that simply was not possible. Then, she basically just kicked her sisters out that night.
And ever since then, her entire family has been in disarray. She was originally supposed to be traveling to visit her family soon. But, ever since the trip ended badly, her sisters have told her father that they don’t want to see her at all.
On top of that, her stepmother also said that she was no longer welcome after what she did to her sisters. So, she is pretty lost about what to do. At the time, she thought that making her sisters leave was the best thing to do. But now, she is starting to wonder if she acted like a true jerk in the situation.
(And just in case you were wondering: No, she does not believe her sisters’ claims at all and wholeheartedly thinks that the “client” was just a client– not a mistress.)
Why do you think her husband wanted them out immediately instead of just the next morning? Do you think she should have at least let her sisters explain themselves? If you had been caught in this situation, how would you have handled it?
