And while combing his home, the detectives discovered the same Spongebob clothing items in his apartment’s dryer.
Edward Price, also known as “Smacc Man,” was then placed under arrest for three counts of 2nd Degree Burglary After Former Conviction of a Felony (AFCF), Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property AFCF, and Possession of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony. The Tulsa Police Department also shared the details of this arrest in a humorous Facebook post crediting Spongebob Squarepants for help with the arrest.
“SPONGEBOB HELPS CATCH A SERIAL BURGLAR,” the post began before adding, “FYI, the suspect’s apartment was not located in a pineapple under the sea.”
The post has since gained nearly two thousand likes and spurred over four hundred and fifty comments. There, community members shared their shock, cracked jokes, and many even left behind some iconic Spongebob GIFs.

“I love your department’s sense of humor,” wrote one commenter.
“Can he also be charged for committing bad fashion sense or else for sullying the reputation of Spongebob Squarepants?” asked a second.
“So, does anyone know where he got the shorts? Asking for a friend,” joked a third.
