“We have some history, but if there’s a new person around, which happens pretty often, you don’t really know how they’re going to react or what kind of ghost they’re gonna be. Consider this, when you open yourself up to the good, you also open yourself up to the bad, and the bad can be really bad. The first time I used a spirit box, I did not use it in my house. I kept the batteries out of it when I stored it. If you don’t know how to shield yourself or set proper boundaries, then yeah, don’t use the spirit box. Don’t do any sort of paranormal investigation. Some bad s**** can happen for sure.”
Now, I’ve never heard of a spirit box, so I looked into what it was. Basically, it’s an electronic recording device that can pick up paranormal radio frequencies that allows communication with spirits. This caused a lot of questions for me in general. Like, are there really certain frequencies that can be used to communicate with ghosts, and how did someone discover this?
A lot of people shared their questions and experiences in the comments section of her video. One person shared that the ghost in their home turns on their heating pad before they go to bed, so their bed is warm when they get in it. Another shared that they aren’t going to use a ghost box until they have someone that is more experienced, just to be safe.
One comment that stood out to me was, “I had a ghost in my dorm, and I set boundaries as they had to knock on the desk before coming near me, and we would watch movies together…Yeah, she was chill before I set boundaries. I would know she was there when the room got heavy instantly, and I set boundaries, and things were great.”
Just the concept of having a ghost friend is interesting to me. I never thought that such a friendship was possible. But based on all the comments and shared stories, it seems like it might be a very common occurrence.
