And throughout all of these adventures, Sarah has kept her friends, family, and the greater community updated on her Instagram account @Strong.Like.Sarah.
When Sarah’s family first created this Instagram following her accident back in 2020, the account was meant to document her road to recovery. Yet in every photo, no matter how challenging a time Sarah was going through, her smile was beaming and contagious. Now, she has since cultivated a following of over eighty-five thousand people who she inspires with her positivity every single day.
Back in April, Sarah detailed how during one of her college classes, she was asked, “If you could tell your past something, what would you tell them?”
“At first, I thought I would tell myself to use my legs as much as possible because I will miss them someday,” she revealed in an Instagram post.
“But then I realized I don’t think I would have changed a thing. I experienced so much when I had legs. And I did make the most of it. I accomplished so many things, and I don’t think there is anything that I would have changed about my life,” Sarah continued. “I am thankful for the years that I did have legs and everything they did for me. So, if I had to tell myself something, I would say, ‘Sarah, keep doing exactly what you’re doing. You’re doing great.'”
This sheer honesty and optimism are what Sarah’s mindset is all about. Even in the face of adversity, she makes sure to remind all of her followers to remain positive, thankful, and kind.
“Life can change in the blink of an eye, and you never know when it will,” she once wrote.
