All of that anger was total news to him, though, since he had no clue that the pizza party was a prepaid event. Regardless, the friends ended up buying ingredients to make the pizzas and are pretty pissed that he did not pay for his share.
So, after hearing about the Christmas party and the friends’ upset, he agreed to attend the holiday gathering. And this time, he is aware that the event is prepaid and will be catered by a private chef– which he is completely fine with.
Ever since learning that his girlfriend’s friends are angry at him over the pizza, though, he has become increasingly frustrated over the entire situation.
“How much are dough, sauce, and cheese? Can’t you just keep it in the fridge?” he vented.
“I even offered her money to send to them, but she won’t take it. I think the whole thing is absurd.”
After all, he claims he would never get mad at a friend for canceling last minute if there were already numerous other people attending the event. Plus, he believes that as a host, it is your responsibility to cover the cost of the food– not depend on guests.
On top of all that pizza party drama, though, he later found out that one of his girlfriend’s friends also accused him of trying to flirt with a waitress during the dinner where he initially met everyone.
Apparently, he made a joke and asked if the waitress wanted anything while she took everyone’s orders, and there were some small laughs.
One friend, though, viewed his humor as a red flag and told his girlfriend about her concerns.
So now, with the Christmas party quickly approaching, he honestly wants nothing to do with it.
“I think they are being petty, and they have made me feel like I’m in the dog house over pizza ingredients. They also don’t know that I know, which I think the girl I’m seeing should have told me the full picture before inviting me to something. So I am a little annoyed at that,” he said.
