He made it crystal clear to his fiancée that they cannot move houses until January 1st, but she won’t accept that as an answer.
Although this house will end up being cheaper month-to-month than what they pay in rent currently, the down payment is an enormous factor.
On top of all of this, his fiancée had no clue about the debt they have, and she thought they only owe about half of what they actually do.
This really was shocking to him, especially considering the fact that his fiancée completely and utterly refuses to go back to work.
“I enjoy her company, and our personalities click well with each other,” he said. “We love traveling and try to do it often. We enjoy specific theme parks and go probably too often. I’ve introduced her to countless movies, TV shows, and fandoms over the last 4 years. There is a lot of good in this relationship, but the financial troubles have always been there.”
“The hardest part is if we do break up, we are quite far from any of her family, she has no savings or anything to fall back on, and the majority of the items (specifically the one car for the both of us) are mine or in my name. The only option I see is that she sells her engagement ring (which I still owe on) she takes the money, gets a rental car and packs what items she can, and leaves.”
“I love this woman, but I’m stressed, unsure if I’m actually happy, and afraid of what will happen.”
He really is weighing whether or not to call off their engagement. Do you think he should?
