She left her house to him, and she also left money for him too. When his neighbor’s family discovered what she had left to him, they really did their best to take the house back.
They didn’t succeed. He did say to them that they were welcome to come to visit and take any family keepsakes from the house but that he was going to be keeping the house.
“I decided I’m selling the home and moving across the country for a new job opportunity,” he said.
“Her family came at me hard and demanded I sell to them. I told them I’ll hear their offers and, if it’s close to my asking price, I’d give them priority. Their offer was 70 percent of the asking price after I did 35,000 dollars in renovations.”
“I rejected them and sold the house to another buyer. I now have to deal with like 20 angry emails a week claiming I’m selling away the house they grew up in to a random.”
Do you think it was wrong of him to sell the house when it was so clearly left to him in his neighbor’s will?
