His wife was fully aware that he was moving hotels so it would be easier for him to spend time with his mistress, but then she told him that she was super concerned about something.
You see, their neighbor’s daughter, Emma, goes to college in the area where his new hotel is located.
His wife was really upset about Emma potentially seeing him out and about with his mistress, and she didn’t want Emma to turn around and tell her parents about it.
“I laughed and promised to be careful, but she has brought it up again and again; it seems to be really eating away at her,” he said. “She’s dreading having to have an awkward conversation with Emma’s parents where she has to tell them I have a mistress, and she’s OK with it. This is guaranteed never to happen because Emma is the ‘other woman.'”
“I know this is classic mid-life crisis territory, an older man with a 21-year-old – but because we knew each other already, the whole thing has been no stress, not awkward – for what it’s worth, she was shocked to find me on Tinder and messaged me first. So everyone should be happy…life should be great. But my wife can’t stop worrying that our secret could be revealed.”
“So, do I tell my wife that the other woman is Emma? Will that reassure her that our secret is safe? Or just worry her even more?”
