That’s actually a pretty interesting way to end a date. Like critique what was good, what worked, and what you didn’t like (maybe if there is going to be a second date). It’s a unique way to incorporate what she does for a living into the first-date information that is shared.
Apparently, the guy didn’t necessarily like that she didn’t want to give him his performance review when he asked for it. And that’s when the date turned sour.
“He looks at me dead serious and goes, ‘well, I want to tell you what I think of you,’ and I was gearing for a compliment, and I did not receive a compliment,” she said.
“The dude looks at me and goes, ‘Let me tell you what I think.’ and he goes off, 4 minutes straight, of how I should open up more, even though it’s a first date, we were literally talking about love is blind. Talks about how I need to soften, how I need to open up more, and how I’m pretending to be smart. Basically, just dogs on me for a couple of minutes. And then he cuts himself off. He’s like, ‘wait a second, I don’t mean that. I’m just saying that because I’m intimidated by you.’ Or something like that.”
She honestly just sat there with nothing to say because he totally ruined their date. She quickly got up and walked out.
Of all the things to say because you claim to be intimidated by your date, accusing your date of pretending to be smart is pretty insane. Like what? Why would someone even think that is a good idea? The guy obviously didn’t think about what he was saying and just had diarrhea of the mouth.
