TikTok users in Erie’s comments section shared their own stories about hotel room mishaps that make us want to get one of those locks ASAP!

“…Once they double booked my room,” commented one user. “Woke at 2:30 am to someone coming in the door [and] turning lights on. Now I always use the latch.”

In a follow-up video, Erie gives her viewers additional tips on how not only to stay safe but clean in a hotel.

She says to always check the mattress for bed bugs and pack some disinfectant spray to cover surfaces and furniture. Erie also double-checks the room’s towels to make sure they’re clean but prefers to bring her own.

Erie also notes that when unpacking in a hotel room, it’s best to use the hard surfaces in the room for luggage only. No matter how clean a room looks, she still wears shower shoes and slippers while walking around.
