For the remaining weeks he spent helping his sister’s fiancé, he maintained a little distance from him.
And when his caretaker duties were over and done with, he really pulled back from being in his sister’s fiancé’s life.
He felt ashamed that he fell for his sister’s fiancé, but meanwhile, his sister’s fiancé was puzzled as to why he just ghosted him after spending a ton of time with him.
His sister’s fiancé then sent him a text asking if he had done anything to upset him and if that was the reason why he dropped out of his life.
He decided to meet his sister’s fiancé face-to-face to explain the real reason why, and he finally confessed his feelings when they got to see one another in person.
After he admitted his feelings, he and his sister’s fiancé thought it was best to stop spending time together since they would never be able to be together.
“Fast forward to now,” he said. “The two of them got engaged somewhat recently, and this past Saturday, my sister asked me to be in her wedding as part of her bridal party.”
“I asked her to let me think about it (which already caused some tension) and finally told her yesterday that I was incredibly grateful for her offer, but I had to turn it down.”
“I’m fine attending as a guest, but being in the party just feels too much. She is now furious with me and is demanding I give her an explanation, at the very least, something I have refused.”
Oh, and in case you are wondering, yes, he has spoken to his sister’s fiancé after they got engaged, and his sister’s fiancé says he wants to follow through with the wedding despite also feeling something for him.
