They were even kept in such good condition that now, each toy has been packed away and saved in a storage room inside her home. The plan is for her future grandchildren to one day have a chance to play with them, too.
The only problem now, though, is that after her ex remarried, he also had two more children with his partner– who are twins.
And now that the twins have just turned three years old, her ex actually wants to take some of her son’s old toys for the twins to play with.
And after finding out her ex planned to pick up the items during a phone call, she immediately told him that she would have to speak with her son first. After all, it was all of her son’s old toys.
Well, apparently, her son actually had no problem passing them on to the twins. Moreover, he claimed that she could make the final decision about what to do with the toys.
Honestly, though, after taking some time to mull it over, she ultimately decided that the toys should be kept for her son’s future children.
Apparently, she simply believes that her future grandchildren should be the ones who have a right to play with what their dad– her son– once owned and played with, too.
But, for whatever reason, her ex just did not understand that at all. Instead, he actually tried to call her a jerk for withholding the toys since her son seemingly did not care about what happened to them anyway.
“And there are kids around who can play with them, and this was also a way to connect with their big brother,” her ex added.
However, she knows that her ex is not exactly struggling to make ends meet. In fact, he and his husband are in basically the complete opposite situation since her ex is an engineer and his partner is a dermatologist.
In other words, it’s not like they cannot afford to buy their twins’ new toys.
