“He told me he felt sorry for his nephew and wanted to cheer him up but didn’t have money, so he thought that he could send him the Xbox, then we’ll figure out what I’m going to gift my brother together,” she said.
She let her fiancé know that he stole her brother’s Christmas present and that he didn’t have the right to do that.
Her fiancé was surprised she called him a thief, and he was upset about that. Her fiancé then tried to say that her brother doesn’t even need the gaming console because he’s sick and probably won’t be able to use it that much.
Her fiancé also said her brother doesn’t even have friends to play the Xbox with because of his heart condition as another way to justify him stealing it.
“He was hurt I called his good deed “theft,” but I stood by what I said and demanded he either pay for the Xbox or pay me, but he acted more hurt, calling me callous and mean to take a gift from a child like that, but I said I didn’t gift his nephew this device and so it is not my problem,” she continued.
Her fiancé then ignored her, packed up his things, and spent the past few days at a hotel. He’s saying she “hurt him deeply” and has been “unfair to him.”
Her fiancé also now expects her to let this whole thing just go because he was trying to do something nice for his nephew.
Do you think that what her fiancé did is ok?
